A BEAUTY PAGEANT TURNS UGLY AS THE AUDIENCE GETS RESTLESS AND CRANKY

Worcester County favorite Sonny Bloxom took a beat-down last night, coming away from his bid for a seat in the House of Delegates with just 25 percent of the Republican vote. That's not only less than expected, that's downright pitiful. Only Jack (Bookemdanno) Lord and boy-wonder Bill McDermott finished lower. But all things are relative and while Sonny finished third in a field of five, none of the candidates got anything near to a mandate. Michael James finished at the top with just 31 percent of the vote and Bonnie Luna ended with 27 percent. ... So what does this mean? Probably not much, except that maybe the repigs have co-opted one Democratic strategy too many and are now in the same ditch the Dems usually drive in to during election season.... the one where everyone thinks they should be king. That means that those at the bottom of the list are effectively spoilers whose candidacy pulls votes away from the stronger, more popular and better-financed candidates, and sometimes allowing a dark horse to emerge as a front-runner.
Whether that's happening in the GOP camp remains to be seen. Ultimately it may not matter as the current administration has burned political capital, during the last five years, with a ferocity and speed that rivals the German Army's blitzkrieg takeover of Poland in 1939. And with the Fearless Leader's approval numbers in the basement, the party leadership has just two years to produce the kind of political miracle - something on the order of the First Shrub pulling Osama bin Laden out of his ass on live TV - it will take to reunite a party whose members are increasingly trying a distance themselves from an embarrassment that will likely take on epic proportions in future history books.

You really must quit getting your talking points from Rush and his ilk. It is so last century.
We all know that the whitewater investigation was a bust, and that was probably because there was no crime committed. So please try to keep your eye on the present issues.
...and by the way; don't give up your day job to write square dance calls. They make no sense and don't rhyme.

White water was nothing but the "Valerie Plame Game" was a sure fire hit?? Democrats are predictable to a "T". they're like monkeys....what they can't eat they rip up and what they can't rip up, they poop on.
Oh wait, maybe I should tune into Air America to hear the true Democapic way....OH WAIT!! they are BANKRUPT!!!! hahahahaha

Billary? DOn't know about that but Hillary has an interest in being president, but knows the reality and all things point ot her trying to take control of the senate. Then maybe president. Obama in 2012 and anything before that is a wash cause they will have to clean up the shit Shrub has laid out there. No one wants that job.

Yeah Air Americas bankrupt, so what. There are plenty of ther progressive talk shows on plenty of other networks. Plus us progressives aren't this kind of sheep that herd around a radio the same time everyday to hear what the next party line is we have to tow. Thats why i went dem, i aint got no limbaugh trying to push shit down my throat that I dont beleive. Air America is abnkrupt and may go away or it might still survive, but LINK TV and Current are still out there kickin ass.

So for all you conservatives out there, why dont you get on Rush for being a drug additct? Hes been busted more than once, in the wrong. Thats your role model? and dont say clinton this or that becasue many of us could give a rats ass about clinton. You do know hes been out of office for 6 years? its kind of hard to balme him for the shit thats happening these days...

You're correct...you don't have Rush; you have AL FRANKEN. What a piss poor excuse he is for a talk radio host. He loves the sound of his own voice too much to let others speak. And before you go ranting about how liberals don't need to listen to radio to get their "talking points". If THAT were true, ya'll wouldn't have whined so freakin much about how conservatives have talk radio and we have nothing, and we want our own talk radio. Christ ya'll have NPR for God sake.
As for Rush being an addict....who cares? I certainly don't. He's not holding an office, he's not related to me, he's not married into my family, and I'm not his baby sitter. I don't give a rat's ass what he does. Unlike the Democraps who believe the Government needs to be in EVERYBODIES business, the Republicans want you to be responsible for yourself.
Rave on rat, rave on

Wit, you know exactly what I mean. Dem's want to be in every aspect. Hell, I saw a Democrat at a folding table outside BMS Tuesday, marking off people on a list he had (list had name addresses and phone numbers), that showed up to vote. You all that afraid you won't get the votes?? I didn't see a republican doing that.

sane, I don't believe anyone has a right to tell you what to do do with your body, so even though I am a republican, I differ with them on this certain subject. As for wire tapping....I agree with them. Go ahead and listen. It's for calls where one of the people on the phone is overseas. If it saves someone, why not? This is a war we are in, not some freakin after school special.
As for feeling sorry for Rush....good for you. As for Al Franken, being a comedy writer.....that's debatable; but he can be JUST as nasty as Rush. Don't think for a minute he can't be.

"Don't forget that Rush started the nastiness years and years before Franken got into it."Who said Rush started it first? And do you realize you sound like a 6 year old whiner? Is that the best you can do???

As for Al being a good writer, I'm not taking anything away from him, but you're often remembered for the last thing you do. Not the first.

Caughtit:
I don't complain that right-winger have tin gods on the radio. My complaint is that those listening don't know propaganda when they hear it. They hear someone on the radio and apparently assume they must be on the radio because they are smarter than the average bear. In fact, not only are they not smart, but the only people dumber than them are the listeners who take everything they say as if it comes from God. Boneheads like Rush and Little Annie Fannie are not disseminating news, truth, or even contextual facts. They are entertainers in the business of validating the fears and prejudices of those too stupid or lazy to actually question whether those fears and prejudices have validity, and instead rely on others, who are only marginally more intelligent, to validate their assumptions.

But what you read and kisten to is the God's Honest truth??

No Caughtit, but at least I maintain a healthly skepticism.... except in the case of the First Moron, where I don't believe anything at all.
